Thank you for posting this photo and tribute to my late Uncle Alfred. We are grieved at his passing and are in need of prayer for his family through this trying time. We look forward to working with APD on an appropriate Department send-off for this 38-year veteran. Details are forthcoming.

RIP Mr. Walck...but let's be honest. This guy was not a good cop and most of us know that. Look at ratemycop.com for a little sample. His IA record is seriously tarnished as well. Beyond that, he was fired in the 80s for beating his wife in their driveway while on duty. Somehow the union got him his job back and he was forever thankful to them by being a trouble maker and a union thug. To say that he died because he was finally let go...absurd.

Al was a good neighbor and a good cop. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends. I was saddened to hear of his passing.
