What’s Wrong With This Picture?
Part time New Mexico resident: actor, director, producer, artist, and photographer, Dennis Hopper has died in Los Angles of prostate cancer. He was 74.
Hopper, as a young film actor, played in two movies: Rebel Without a Cause (1955), and Giant (1956), with his friend James Dean who died in an automobile accident before Giant's release.
Hopper may be best remembered as the director - actor of the 1969 independent film Easy Rider, of which parts were filmed in New Mexico. Hopper made a second home in Taos.
His last project was a cable television series Crash, filmed in Albuquerque.
